This book is not near as well known as the other books on my list of Top 10. I'm not fully sure why because it is truly a great read aloud. This book is a bit of an ode to THERE IS A MONSTER AT THE END OF THIS BOOK (itself a revolutionary book that helped setup the great interactive book bonanza we have today . . . btw, check out the app of the book because it is AMAZINGNESS). Anywho, DO NOT OPEN THIS BOOK is a book kids will definitely want you to open. Each page is well crafted and involves the audience so well that kids will want to read this book again and again and again and again and again (trust me . . . I know from experience).
